This is the last blog update for the 2013/2014 school year! It is so hard to believe that we are down to the last few days of school!
Tiger Pride- Today at 2:30 we will be having our last Tiger Pride Assembly of the year.
Multiplication Flash Cards- Today I will be sending home multiplication flash cards with your child. Multiplication is a big part of the math curriculum in third grade. Please have your child practice them at least a few times a week over the summer.
Reading- Summer time is a time for relaxing, but with that relaxing we get off our normal schedule and don't read as much as we do during the school year. Please have your child read through the summer. Regression is a big factor at the beginning of the school year, but if your child reads regularly, hopefully he or she will have less regression at the beginning of the school year next year.
Field Day- May 27th- Today your child will be bringing home an information sheet about field day. We do have our activities in the morning this year. Another exciting change for us this year is that we will be celebrating Field Day along with Willard North Elementary.
Our last day of school is on Wednesday the 28th. It will be a half day.
I would like to finish this last post of the year with thanking you all of letting me be a part of your child's second grade education. I have enjoyed this group of kids so much and am so sad to see them go. They truly are a one of a kind group!
I hope you have a fabulous weekend and get to spend a lot of time with your family and friends!
