Say it isn't so...Writing on our tables!!! Yes, that's right! We did math on our tables yesterday!! The kids were worried at first that we would get in trouble.:) This shows what a sweet group of kids we have!!:)
Next week at a glance:
Math- We started our first unit in math today. We also made a proficiency scale so the kids will know what they have to learn in order to be proficient on this standard.
On Monday we will be doing Rocket Math and then we will be working on adding and subtracting numbers within 20.
Writing- We are continuing narrative writing and will focus on adding details to our stories. At the end of the week we will be reading each other's writing and being coaches by asking questions and noticing great things about each other's writing.:)
Reading- We are almost finished building stamina in read to self, work on writing, and word work. We will be adding listen to reading next week. Please continue reading every night.
Social Studies- We are going to be continuing learning about how decisions are made and will have some local community helpers visit to tell about their job and how it helps our community.
