Today we have started our Dojo dollars! The kids are extremely excited about these dollars. The rewards for Dojos will be paid for with their Dojo dollars. Each dollar is worth 1 point and if a point is taken away, 1 dollar must be paid to the bank. This is also front loading their knowledge of economics. After this morning I have learned that some of our kids are savers when others cannot spend it fast enough.:):)
Please refer back to the 2nd grade flip book you received on Meet the Teacher Night for what the rewards are and how many points they are worth. If your child is asking to take a stuffed animal to school, it is because they are spending their money on the stuffed animal reward. Today we had two students choose show and tell. One of the students is a rodeo star and showed off his roping skills (VERY IMPRESSIVE Brady:) and the other student (Noah:) brought in a really neat rock then let the kids feel it.
Fun times with rewards!!
The new spelling words for this week are:
Please look over your child's spelling assessment and work on the words they missed on it.
We are continuing word problems along with learning our addition facts.
