Have a great summer!
I want to thank all of you for letting me be your child's first grade teacher! I had the best year ever and it was so hard watching them walk out the door today! I am going to miss every single one of these awesome kiddos!!
Have a great summer!
I have no idea where the time went!
I don't have a lot to let you know about next week other than the kids will be bringing things home throughout the week.
Last day of school, Friday the 19th is a half day. The kids get out at 12:30.
Have a great weekend!
Field Trip- Thank you to all of you for being so understanding of the last minute changes we had to make for our field trip. We were all really looking forward to going to Fantastic Caverns, but the kids were so awesome about changing it to the movie theater. I want to thank all of the parents who came and helped us get the students their drinks and popcorn as well!
Field Day May 11 (unless it rains) - Hopefully the weather will hold out and we will have a great field day on Thursday. Please send dry clothes for your child to change into after field day. There are water games that the kids will get wet during. Also, please make sure your child wears shoes he or she can run in. We will be outside for a couple of hours so it wouldn't hurt to put sunblock on your child before coming to school that morning. Parents are more than welcome to come enjoy field day with us that morning. It is fun to watch the kids play the games!
Writing: Next week we will be interviewing a classmate and then get to write a biography about that person. I am excited to read the biographies!
Math- We will be completing unit 14 next week and taking the assessment on Wednesday and then moving on to unit 15.
Science- We will be learning about the Solar System next week.
